Background: My interest in photography started way back when the only thing digital was a wristwatch, completely self taught in the art of b&w processing led me to being a contributor to the photographic magazines of which I became the 'darkroom expert' for Practical photography. 35mm soon felt like a restriction image quality wise so large format satisfied my desire for detail particularly on my annual migration to the Scottish Highlands for landscapes, a shop in Fort William called Fired Art sell some of my landscapes. Over the years I have done freelance for Classic Bike magazine and a category winner for a national Canon sponsored photographic award in 1997 where the image was on display in the V&A Museum. Then digital arrived on the scene and I must admit was not a fan at all, but fast forward to present day and advances in technology has won me over to a point where it has kick-started my appetite for creating images as you have no doubt seen in my gallery. The other half to digital photography is the post processing which allows me to create a final image how my mind sees it.
